Dr. Papageorgiou completed his studies, his Medical Doctorate and his specialisation in Germany. He graduated in 2004 and earned his Doctorate with Magna Cum Laude two years later from the University of Cologne (Universität zu Köln) .
After 2 years of training in general and trauma surgery at the Clinical Center Bremen Ost, a center specialized in minimal invasive surgery and headed by Prof. Dr. I. Baca, he decided to specialize in plastic surgery.
He trained at five different departments of hand, aesthetic, reconstructive and burn surgery throughout Germany before passing his board certification as a plastic and aesthetic surgeon in Berlin (DGPRAEC) in 2014.
During this training, Dr. Papageorgiou had the honour to learn from and collaborate with
-Dr. med. N. Pfannmüller (St. Franziskus Hospital Lohne), a specialist of reconstructive and hand surgery
-Dr. med. M. Richter (Malteser Hospital Bonn), President of the German Society of Hand Surgery
-Prof. Dr. med. J. Bahm (St. Franziskus Hospital Aachen Hospital), the leading Plexus brachialis reconstruction surgeon in Europe
-Dr. med. H. Aschoff (Sana Klinikum Lübeck), the founder of Osteointegration-Germany
-Prof. Dr. med. N. Sinis (St. Marien Hospital Berlin), a leading aesthetic and reconstructive surgeon as well as official microsurgery partner of the Charité University
In 2015, Dr. Papageorgiou opened his private plastic surgery practice in Rhodes and cooperates with the Centrodent Clinics in Bern, Switzerland.
