VAMPIRE FACELIFT

The Vampire-Facelift is a new revolutionary treatment based on collagen induction.

It was founded in 2002 by Dr. Fernandes (a burn plastic surgeon) and is known by a variety of terms such as CIT (Collagen Induction Therapy), percutaneous collagen induction (PCI) or medical microneedling etc.

Micro needles are in fact used to puncture the skin to create a controlled skin injury. The body in turn perceives these microscopic wounds and reacts by producing fibroblasts, collagen and elastin. The result of this so-called neovascularization and neocollagenesis process is the natural production of collagen and hyaluronic acid resulting in skin texture and firmness, as well as reduction in scars, pore size, and stretch marks. To enable more fibroblast and reinforce the process, the treatment is often combined with Platenet Rich Plasma (PRP).

The downtime for patients ranges from zero to two days while the results are long-term, up to 3 years.

The Vampire-Facelift helps the skin regain its luster and firmness. This treatment is indicated for the rejuvenation of the tired face, the treatment of wrinkles, stretch marks and scarring (acne, etc). It can be also applied to other areas of the body such as the breast (Vampire-Breastlift) or in more serious cases, such as traumatic or postoperative scarring.

In contrast, the treatment of the above mentioned indications with laser or other peeling techniques has proven inferior as they present four main side effects:

  1. Histological studies show a thinning of the skin
  2. Skin intolerance to UV
  3. Depigmentation caused by damage of the melanocytes
  4. Downtime 2-3 weeks

The treatment is completely safe, does not have any side effects (such as allergies and autoimmune reactions) and is used worldwide by qualified plastic surgeons.
